Lighting Problems We Solve
The Light Works - It's Just Old
If your pool still has a standard incandescent light, you're running an old fixture that draws real power and lights half the water. A color LED conversion is brighter, uses a fraction of the electricity, and you control it from the switch or your automation panel or app.
The Light Stopped Working
A burned-out lamp is the easy case. Just as often it's a flooded fixture, a failed gasket, a tired transformer, or a GFCI doing its job. We test the whole circuit before replacing costly parts.
What we repair and replace
Burned-out lamps
Pool and spa bulbs, incandescent and LED.
Flooded fixtures
Water inside the housing, fogged or clouded lenses.
Cracked lenses & old gaskets
The usual reason a fixture floods in the first place.
Transformer failure
Low-voltage supply that's stopped delivering.
Color control & automation
Syncing lights to your existing automation panel.
LED conversions
Old white incandescent to full-color LED.
Niche, conduit & cord
Corrosion and cord damage behind the fixture.
GFCI that trips
GFCI or breaker kicks when the light comes on. Never ignore it.
Why homeowners call us for lighting
A licensed contractor, not a handyman
A pool light is an electrical fixture submerged in water where your family swims. Bonding and grounding are code requirements, not suggestions. We're ROC 349159, fully insured, and the work is done to code.
We're a lighting distributor
We're the local distributor for Spa Electrics, so we buy fixtures direct instead of ordering them retail the way most service companies do. That difference goes into your price, not our margin.
Warranty claims handled locally
Three years on lights and transformers from Spa Electrics, plus a year on installation labor. If something fails, you call us — not a manufacturer hotline. We're ten minutes away.

The lights we install:
Fifty years of Australian pool lighting
Spa Electrics has been building underwater lighting in Melbourne since 1976 — still family-owned, still designing and manufacturing in house. In Australia they're the name serious pool builders specify. They're simply less known in Arizona, which is most of the reason a light this good lands at the prices below. Fixtures ship to us from their US operation rather than from overseas, and we have a local technical rep behind them — which is why a replacement is usually in hand inside a week.

Surprise, Arizona
We recently bought a house in Surprise whose pool was pretty much neglected by the former owner. We ended up having to replace the heater, the light, the filter, and a bunch of other stuff. (We knew that it would need work before we bought it). Dave replaced all the electrical components, cleaned up the pool and is now servicing it for us on a weekly basis. Every time he comes I get a report with the pool readings and what was done that morning. I've very happy and I highly recommend them.

Cyan Pools was recommended to us, and we couldn't be happier. Dave does an amazing job with our pool, and he is very courteous and professional and always available to answer any questions we may have about our pool. Highly highly recommend!!!!

Questions we get every week
Do you have to drain my pool to replace the light?
Almost never. Pool lights are typically installed with extra cord coiled behind the fixture so it can be lifted out of the niche and worked on at the deck. We'd only drain if the niche or conduit itself has failed.
My light trips the breaker. Is that just the bulb?
Usually not. A GFCI that trips when the light comes on generally means water has reached the fixture or there's a fault in the cord or niche. That's a safety circuit working correctly — worth diagnosing properly rather than resetting and hoping.
Is a color LED conversion actually worth it?
An LED draws a fraction of the power of the incandescent it replaces and lasts far longer, so it does pay back. But most people do it for how the pool looks at night, not the power bill. Installed, most conversions land between $750 and $1,500 — see the pricing above.
How long does the whole thing take?
Usually under a week. Once you send a photo and approve the price, the fixture typically reaches us in under seven calendar days, and the install itself is a single visit.
I have another brand. Will a Spa Electrics light match it?
Closer than you'd expect. Spa Electrics colors and light shows will be programmed to follow the same switching sequences as whatever brand you want to match, so selecting Blue or Caribbean on a Pentair automation system, for example, lands on the same color and the same show as the Pentair light sitting on the circuit with it — they stay in step. There is some hue variation and our lights are often brighter, so in a multi-light pool where only one gets replaced you may see some difference side by side. Send a photo and we'll give you a straight answer about doing one or both.
